Accreditation Subcommittee

Key Responsibilities

The purpose of the Accreditation Subcommittee is:

To promote excellence in clinical training, appropriate educational and learning experiences and effective supervision through accreditation of intern and PGY2 positions to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and medical care.

The PMCV Accreditation Subcommittee makes decisions regarding accreditation of intern and PGY2 placements. These are endorsed by the PMCV Board (a delegated authority) and forwarded to the Medical Board of Australia (Victorian Board).

The Accreditation Subcommittee makes recommendations regarding a range of other subcommittee matters, which are forwarded to the PMCV Board for consideration.
