Between Visits
Health services are expected to adhere to the standards for accreditation throughout the period for which they are accredited. The PMCV reserves the right to review the accreditation status where there is substantial evidence to suggest that accreditation guidelines are not being met.
Changing terms/rotations
Health services must ensure that the Accreditation sub-committee is advised of any changes to hospital medical officer posts or rotations between accreditation visits (eg changing jobs, eliminating jobs). Health services introducing new terms are expected to notify the Accreditation sub-committee so that the terms can be assessed against the standards and approved prior to HMOs working in the new jobs.
Change of health service role
Health services that alter their role (and thus cause changes to junior medical officer education and supervision) during a period of accreditation should notify the Accreditation sub-committee.
