Teaching on the Run
Teaching on the Run (TOTR) is a national program developed by staff of the Education Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Australia. The TOTR program helps improve the quality of the teaching and supervision of trainee doctors and students. With funding support from the Department of Health the PMCV is able to offer a number of TOTR programs during 2010.
An introductory TOTR program for Junior Medical Officers (one day)
The one day TOTR program for junior medical officers (PGY1-3) comprises three of the six available modules: Clinical teaching; Skills; and Feedback and Assessment . The one day program will be offered on 9th April, 4th June and 2nd October 2010. See brochure>>
A TOTR program for supervisors and educators (two days)
The two day TOTR program for clinicians and educators comprises six modules: Clinical teaching; Skills; Feedback and Assessment; Effective Group Teaching; Supporting Trainees; and Planning Term Learning. The two day program will be offered on 26th and 27th March 2010. All participants must be able to attend both days. Participants from rural and regional Victoria are offered sponsorship in the form of accommodation and a travel allowance.
