Grant Funding
Education and Training Grants for hospital based projects
Through a grants process, funded by the Department of Human Services, the Postgraduate Medical Council supports:
- the employment of Medical Education Officers (MEOs) in Victorian hospitals;
- a range of innovative in-house projects funded on an annual basis which can be generalised across the Victorian hospital system. Examples of funded projects include "Making nights a learning opportunity", a pilot project for use of electronic log books to monitor procedure training, development of on-line tutorials, and curriculum development and skills training in rural hospitals.
A part-time Medical Education Officer operating at the Council level is employed through funding from the Department of Human Services to coordinate education related activities and to support hospital-based Medical Education Officers.
