Centralised IMG Orientation Program - Hitting the Ground Running.
This 2-day program integrates most non-hospital/practice specific orientation content as defined in the AMC Orientation Guidelines (2007) and assists with the initial 3 month orientation reporting requirement to the Medical Board of Australia (MBA).

The introduction of a coordinated and centrally delivered IMG orientation program has demonstrated both a practical and integrated approach to implementation of the AMC guidelines and a decrease in duplication of effort by employers across Victoria in relation to IMG Orientation since the program inception in 2009. The uptake of the program state-wide (region based) from its inception (August 2009 - November 2012) has included 480 participants, with 59% of participants attending from metropolitan health services/practices and 41% of participants attending from regional/rural health services/practices.
From 2013 this program will also be open to participants from other states/territories in addition to Victoria.
