The Interview Process - Planning, Conducting , Reporting
It is the responsibility of the employer/health service to organise a PESCI.
In Victoria, the PESCI, as a formal interview, utilises 3 panel members, at least two of whom are to be medical practitioners familiar with the clinical and professional demands of the position, and at least two of whom have had specific PESCI training.
NB: The Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) conducts PESCI interviewer training periodically.
It is anticipated that most health services will be able to source panel members internally, while others may need to source an external interview panel / interviewers.
The PMCV is available to provide guidance, source interviewers or organise an external interview panel. Payment for external interviewers / panel will be the responsibility of the health service.
