HMO MANAGERS SUBCOMMITTEE WORK GROUPS

  1. Flexible Work Practices (formed meeting 6/2003)

    Chair: Ms L Morton

    Aims:

    • To develop and define possible flexible work/job share arrangements.
    • To collect examples of flexible practices in operation in hospitals;
    • To develop guidelines around shared posts, how they could be accommodated in the Matching process and clarity on advice to candidates.

  2. Work Group - Web based matching system

    Aims:

    • To develop a proposal to the Department of Human Services for an online web-based computer matching system for implementation in 2005 for 2006 appointments.
    • To brainstorm the potential and future elements of the proposal and develop specifications for each element
    • To review the regulations and protocols of the intern match and make recommendations on the process for 2005 to accommodate the national offer period.

  4. Work Group - HMO Online Referee Process

    Chair: Ms Helen Ritchie

    Members:

    Aims:
    To develop a proposal for an online referee based process for intern and HMO Matching to be developed alongside the web- based matching system for candidates and hospitals.


  5. EBA Issues (formed meeting 1.2005)

    Aim:
    To identify issues in the current EBA e.g. definition of "training" time, leave, recall; and to provide advice to the Department of Human Services on issues which HMO Managers believe require discussion in the next round of EBA negotiations.
