PMCV would like to welcome Dr Kate Gazzard as the new Chair of the Accreditation Committee!
Kate is a medical practitioner specialising in general paediatrics and paediatric emergency medicine. She has been on the PMCV Accreditation Committee since 2013 as a JMO representative and Deputy Chair for nearly three terms. She is also a current Survey Team Leader.
Kate’s experience with prevocational medical staff includes ongoing education of prevocational and accredited residents, advocating for junior doctors in her previous role as chief registrar for women’s and children’s services at Barwon Health, and participating in the interview selection process at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
Her current role as Clinical Practice Guidelines Fellow at RCH involves coordinating meetings and editing clinical practice guidelines which are frequently used by junior doctors.
Kate will commence the position on the 1st of October 2023 for a tenure of three years.
