Process

The involvement of stakeholders in the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria accreditation process is vital.

PMCV invites Junior Doctors and Health Services Staff such as term/clinical supervisors and registrars, medical education and medical workforce staff) to contribute to the PMCV accreditation processes either by:

  • Active participation in survey visits. This involves assessment of the training programs for Junior Doctors every four years via meetings with all stakeholders and a pre-visit online survey of Junior Doctors.
  • Becoming a PMCV Surveyor (a training workshop is held annually in March).
  • Joining the PMCV Accreditation Committee which is responsible for all accreditation decisions with broad representation from stakeholder groups.

Health consumer representatives are also increasingly becoming involved in the PMCV accreditation processes particularly as surveyors.

Please contact Monique Le Sueur (Accreditation Manager) on mlesueur@pmcv.com.au if you are interested in becoming involved.
