DESCRIPTION:Increase your Indigenous cultural awareness and sensitivity for better healthcare outcomes\nIn collaboration with Emma Leehane (Nangala Aboriginal Cultural Education)\, the PMCV has developed a cultural awareness training module with a focus on Indigenous Australian culture and associated healthcare issues and considerations. \nThe training provides cultural awareness education that: \n\nIncludes an overview of the key issues relevant to the development of a culturally safe health service environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.\nLeads to an increase in culturally safe and sensitive practice amongst health care professionals.\n\nRegistration for February 2022: \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – February 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – March 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – April 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – May 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – June 2022 \nHow to register for the Indigenous Cultural Awareness workshops:\nThis workshop is available for virtual delivery as a two- or three-hour course session. Interested healthcare services can contact the PMCV here for booking information. \nRefund Policy:\nRegistration will be refunded for cancellations up to 7 days prior to the event. Registration will not be refunded for cancellations of less than 2 business days (48 hours)\, nor for non-attendance. \nFor further information on the TOTR Program\, please email PMCVeducation@pmcv.com.au. \nCancellation and Rescheduling:\nPMCV courses are subject to minimum and maximum group numbers. Courses may be cancelled or postponed if minimum numbers are not achieved by the scheduled date. Courses may close prior to the start date if the maximum numbers are achieved.
