DESCRIPTION:Increase your Indigenous cultural awareness and sensitivity for better healthcare outcomes\nIn collaboration with Emma Leehane (Nangala Aboriginal Cultural Education)\, the PMCV has developed a cultural awareness training module with a focus on Indigenous Australian culture and associated healthcare issues and considerations. \nThe training provides cultural awareness education that: \n\nIncludes an overview of the key issues relevant to the development of a culturally safe health service environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.\nLeads to an increase in culturally safe and sensitive practice amongst health care professionals.\n\nRegistration for February 2022: \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – February 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – March 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – April 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – May 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – June 2022 \nHow to register for the Indigenous Cultural Awareness workshops:\nThis workshop is available for virtual delivery as a two- or three-hour course session. Interested healthcare services can contact the PMCV here for booking information. \nRefund Policy:\nRegistration will be refunded for cancellations up to 7 days prior to the event. DESCRIPTION:Increase your Indigenous cultural awareness and sensitivity for better healthcare outcomes\nIn collaboration with Emma Leehane (Nangala Aboriginal Cultural Education)\, the PMCV has developed a cultural awareness training module with a focus on Indigenous Australian culture and associated healthcare issues and considerations. \nThe training provides cultural awareness education that: \n\nIncludes an overview of the key issues relevant to the development of a culturally safe health service environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.\nLeads to an increase in culturally safe and sensitive practice amongst health care professionals.\n\nRegistration for February 2022: \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – February 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – March 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – April 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – May 2022 \nIndigenous Cultural Awareness – June 2022 \nHow to register for the Indigenous Cultural Awareness workshops:\nThis workshop is available for virtual delivery as a two- or three-hour course session. Interested healthcare services can contact the PMCV here for booking information. \nRefund Policy:\nRegistration will be refunded for cancellations up to 7 days prior to the event.
