DESCRIPTION:Make an easy transition into the Australian healthcare system\nPMCV’s Hitting the Ground Running (HTGR): IMG Orientation program is designed to support and familiarise International Medical Graduate (IMGs) who are planning on or currently working within the Australian healthcare system (Hospital-based and/or General Practice). \nAt the end of the course\, you will receive evidence of certification and an ORIG-30 mapping checklist. This will ensure that you successfully complete necessary components of your mandatory 3 month orientation reporting requirement (ORIG-30) as per your general registration requirements set by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). \nYou will also have access to an O-manual and resources to further supplement and support your understanding of: \n\nMedicare Australia\nObtaining your Provider number\nPharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)\nPBS online learning\nPrescribing medications\nPatient charges\nAustralian society\, communication\, cultural awareness\, and competence\nRegistration pathways and standard bodies\nIMG employment pathways\nLegislative framework governing practices\nLitigation & indemnity\nLiving in Australia\nAnd much more…\n\nThis program is suited for doctors working in hospital and/or GP clinical settings.
