
Clinical Leadership in Practice Program
Target Audience
Doctors working in registrar positions or who will shortly be moving into a registrar position.
Overview
The Clinical Leadership in Practice (CLiP) program is a revised modular format version of the Professional Development Program for Registrars that can be delivered in flexible modular format. Each module will be 3.5 hours duration.
The modules include:
Module 1: Self-awareness and emotional intelligence
Module 2: Transition to medical management and leadership
Module 3: Communication and conflict management
Module 4: Teams and teamwork
Module 5: Supervision and feedback

PLEASE NOTE:
For the effective running of any CLiP program, a minimum number of participants (10) is required. If the minimum number is not confirmed one week prior to the scheduled program it will, unfortunately, be cancelled. Registered participants will have the opportunity to roll their registration over to another upcoming CLiP program.

Teaching on the Run
Teaching on the Run (TOTR) is a national program developed by staff of the Education Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Australia. The TOTR program helps improve the quality of the teaching and supervision of trainee doctors and students.

Teaching on the Run for JMOs
A one-day program for junior doctors (PGY1-4) covering three TOTR modules: Clinical Teaching, Teaching Skills; and Assessment Fundamentals. The facilitated program includes preparatory work and written resources.

Teaching on the Run for Consultants, Clinical Supervisors and Educators
A two-day program for senior doctors and medical educators covering six TOTR modules: Clinical Teaching, Teaching Skills; Assessment Fundamentals; Planning Term Learning; Effective Group Teaching; and Supporting Learners. The facilitated program includes preparatory work and written resources.
