SUMMARY:Annual Collaboration Extravaganza
DESCRIPTION:Join PMCV for our Annual Collaboration Extravaganza where we will bring the Victorian medical community together once again. \nOn Friday the 10th of December 2021\, the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) will host the PMCV Annual Collaboration Extravaganza. \nThis event will be the first opportunity to bring together the Victorian medical community to reflect on the year that has been and work together to plan for 2022. \nThe day will feature a diverse array of interactive sessions and will be capped off by celebratory drinks and canapes! \nWe’re excited to welcome Associate Professor Lyn Clearihan as our keynote speaker for this event. Lyn’s session ‘Navigating the Personal while Developing the Professional’ will cover important aspects of the proFESS framework and how it can enhance the understanding of professionalism and fitness of practice. \nSome of the sessions you can expect will be: \nCommunication Techniques Workshop\nThis session is open to all. \nThese workshops will help you to further develop your confidence when communicating as well as providing you with some handy take-away tools that you can apply to a variety of clinical workplace situations. \nBreakout Sessions:\n1) MEO Network and Clinical Supervisor Network\nThis is a collaborative session for both MEOs and Clinical Supervisors. \nThis will be the last MEO Network session for 2021 as well as an introductory session for the Clinical Supervisor Network. MEOs and Supervisors will then have the chance to reflect and collaborate on the strategies that will best support prevocational education and training planning for 2022\, as well as exploring the future direction of clinical supervisor sessions. \n2) Medical Workforce: Aligning recruitment dates for 2022\nThis session is for Medical Workforce Managers and Directors. \nIn 2021 as part of the Streamline Recruitment Initiative\, PMCV commenced the alignment of recruitment dates for Matched recruitment. This is an interactive workshop that seeks to collaboratively set the recruitment cycle dates for 2022. While the session will include matched positions its goal is to incorporate and align dates for specialist HMO and HMO3 roles as well. \n3) Accreditation Surveyor Refresher Training\nThis session is for existing Surveyors. \nDue to the suspension of the Accreditation program in 2020\, many surveyors may not have undertaken a recent survey in 2021. This session will give you the opportunity to refresh your knowledge of the process prior to embarking on the 2022 survey cycle. \nPMCV Showcase:\nThis session will be a celebration of what PMCV’s strategic pillars have achieved in 2021 as well as looking into what we will be doing in 2022. We hope that you will come away from this session with some valuable insight into how PMCV will be collaborating with you and the wider Victorian healthcare system into the future. \n————————————————————————— \nThere are multiple sessions throughout the day so please feel free to attend the sessions that are most relevant to you. \nPlease note that COVID restrictions are still in place so we will need you to register for this event if you wish to attend. \nIf you have any questions prior to the day please reach out to us via PMCVEducation@pmcv.com.au. \nPMCV is looking forward to celebrating and connecting with you once again! \nPlease RSVP for this event by Friday the 3rd of December. This event will be fully catered. \nView the event program
