Medical Workforce

The Medical Workforce portfolio continues to advocate for junior doctors at the Medical Workforce Committee, alongside collating feedback for PMCV regarding the Allocation and Placement Service and internal matches, We continue to host the successful Live FAQ document to support juniors with the HMO2+ matches, which is well-received by our community.

In 2021, JMO Victoria recognised a need for improved communication from PMCV to pre-interns and junior doctors, We identified the importance of awareness of PMCV’s activities through marketing and communications. As a result of our advocacy, PMCV launched a Medical Student Engagement project in 2022 which included a successful webinar series about the recruitment process.

Our key goal in 2022 has been to expand the support for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) and have created an IMG Support team. We have created a JMO Victoria-led support project to create a centralised resource for IMGs interested in moving to Australia.
