Medical Workforce

The Medical Workforce portfolio continues to advocate for junior doctors at the Medical Workforce Committee, alongside collating feedback for PMCV regarding the Allocation and Placement Service and internal matches.

In 2021, JMO Victoria recognised a need for improved communication from PMCV to pre-interns and junior doctors, We identified the importance of awareness of PMCV’s activities through marketing and communications. As a result of our advocacy, PMCV launched a Medical Student Engagement project in 2022 which included a successful webinar series about the recruitment process which has continued to run each year since.

Our key goal in 2024 is to collaborate with the PMCV to work towards a more efficient and equitable Allocation and Placement Service which will be undergoing review over 2025-2026.
