Attention all prevocational supervisors – join PMCV on Friday the 21st of March 2025 for our Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA) Assessor Training!
The Australian Medical Council’s revised National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training is being implemented in Victoria and is improving the education and training of our prevocational doctors through the strengthening of supervision and assessment. A key component of the National Framework is Entrustable Professional Activities which offer a chance to observe the prevocational doctor’s work and provide feedback for improvement. EPAs are well established in medical education as reliable contributors for assessing competency.
The AMC has mandated that all prevocational supervisors must complete training to assess EPAs and has stipulated that other EPA training will not be considered as RPL. PMCV has designed an informed training program to ensure that EPAs are optimised in your hospital. All Victorian prevocational supervisors will need to undertake this training to be an assessor, so join us in-person for the day and walk away being a certified EPA assessor!
Register for this in-person training day offered by PMCV that will give you the opportunity to understand EPAs by watching them in action and participating in discussions.
What are they? What is my role? How do I include them in my supervision practice?
