Who can attend?
Frontline healthcare workers working in Victorian public health services who are at risk of experiencing low to moderate risk of Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA) in the workplace.
Aim:
In this session participants will be introduced to de-escalation techniques to manage aggressive and violent behaviours in the workplace.
The learning outcomes:
a) understand what violence and aggression looks like in the workplace
b) explore comon triggers for this behaviour
c) be introduced to a framework to de-escalate aggressive and violent behaviours
d) understand key techniques for responding to OVA during and after an incident
