The Monash Online Surgical Training (MOST) Core is a 6-week course targeted at pre-SET trainees who would like to increase their proficiency in core surgical
knowledge and skills. A Moodle site is utilised for learners to access interactive theoretical content focusing on:
- Fundamental principles of surgery
- Prepping and draping
- Familiarisation of surgical instruments
- Common patient complications
- Wound healing and Stomal Care
- Essential communication skills
The MOST course utilises the most advanced eoSim laparoscopic trainer with SurgTrac, instrument tracking software. It is designed around the core competencies for SET training.
Participant places are limited to maintain a high ratio of faculty consultant surgeons to participants.
