About the Course
Communicating with Confidence is a PMCV course designed to help you increase your confidence when communicating in a variety of clinical settings that can be applied to everyday life.
CWC is a unique, interactive learning experience that will provide participants with strategies to manage nerves in a high-pressure environment, techniques on how to create strong first-impressions with voice, body and presence, in addition to being able to respond confidently to challenging questions and scenarios.
CWC Outcomes
By the end of CWC, you will be able to:
- Utilise breathing and voice control skills that will allow you to communicate clearly and confidently
- Enhance awareness of body language and cadence of speech to apply flexibility and range in delivery
- Effectively navigate challenging situations by identifying the needs and impact on others in conversation.
- Improve your ability to negotiate the best outcomes for you and your patients
Assumed Knowledge
This course assumes you to meet current AHPRA Registration requirements for English literacy or equivalent. The content will require participants to adapt the English language using techniques such as paraphrasing, rephrasing or substituting words, sentences and ideas.
Important Registration Information
Communicating with Confidence currently needs to be delivered in-person; this is the most effective method for this type of training.
All workshops are delivered at PMCV’s offices, Melbourne CBD. However, if you are interested in receiving this workshop delivered at your worksite, please contact PMCVeducation@pmcv.com.au so that we can provide a tailored package for your requirements.
A minimum of 9 participants are required for this program to be delivered.
This program is open to all medical practitioners, including those responsible for delivering medical education in healthcare, such as MEOs and HMOs.
