Make an easy transition into the Australian healthcare system
PMCV’s Hitting the Ground Running (HTGR): IMG Orientation program is designed to support and familiarise International Medical Graduate (IMGs) who are planning on or currently working within the Australian healthcare system (Hospital-based and/or General Practice).
At the end of the course, you will receive evidence of certification and an ORIG-30 mapping checklist. This will ensure that you successfully complete necessary components of your mandatory 3 month orientation reporting requirement (ORIG-30) as per your general registration requirements set by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
You will also have access to an O-manual and resources to further supplement and support your understanding of:
- Medicare Australia
- Obtaining your Provider number
- Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
- PBS online learning
- Prescribing medications
- Patient charges
- Australian society, communication, cultural awareness, and competence
- Registration pathways and standard bodies
- IMG employment pathways
- Legislative framework governing practices
- Litigation & indemnity
- Living in Australia
- And much more…
This program is suited for doctors working in hospital and/or GP clinical settings. This is also suitable for doctors following all IMG registration pathways.
