This years PMCV Symposium will be held on Friday the 17th of October at Karstens Melbourne.
PMCV recognises that over the past few years, health services have been working hard to support prevocational doctors through the changes brought in by the revised National Framework. This transition has required extensive adaptation from medical education and workforce units, as they have had to learn at the same time as supporting the broader hospital staff. Now that this transition phase is coming to an end it’s a good opportunity to stop and reflect on why we do what we do, how we can continue to support prevocational doctors, and the future direction of our roles.
Throughout the day we will be hearing from those who work with prevocational doctors every day, as well as from prevocational doctors themselves. We will hear about their journeys in medical education and how we build value in the work we do every day.
This year, the Symposium offers participants the opportunity to focus on their own professional development. It is designed for those with an invested interest in supporting the education and training of prevocational doctors, regardless of level of expertise or formal professional role.
